小柴胡汤 · Xiao Chai Hu Tang, with San Ren Tang · Herbal tea, 30 bags
A tea for being half-ill — the cold that lingers, the alternating chills and heat, the bitter taste and lost appetite, the tightness under the ribs. Wind Tea is Minor Bupleurum with the damp-clearing herbs of San Ren Tang folded in, for the modern version of that state: a body that cannot quite shake something off because it is damp as well as stuck.
- Follows the original formulation with true ginseng, where most versions substitute cheaper codonopsis.
- Bupleurum sustainably wild-crafted on the Tibetan plateau.
- Pattern. Shao yang disorder with dampness.
