Dit Da Jiao — hit-fall wine — is what martial artists have reached for after hard training for centuries. This is a Pacific Northwest version, built around mugwort grown in exactly the cold, damp climate the herb is used to counter. Fast on fresh bruising, and equally good on an old injury that flares when the weather turns.

  • Red blood muscle level. Formulated for acute bruising, with both warming and cooling action.
  • Hong Hua leads the blood work. Safflower, for fresh injuries and old ones alike.
  • Hand-crushed, small batch. Mortar and pestle, alcohol distilled at the base of Mount Hood.

Ingredients

  • Ai Ye — Mugwort, grown in the Pacific Northwest: dispels cold and eases pain
  • Hong Hua — Safflower: stimulates circulation in fresh and old injuries

  • Cao Wu and Chuan Wu — prepared aconite: warms and stops deep pain
  • Dan Shen, Dang Gui, Tao Ren, E Zhu — break stagnation
