三仁汤 · San Ren Tang, modified · Herbal tea, 30 bags
A tea for the damp-heat that settles in at the height of summer or after too much rich food — a heavy head, a sticky mouth, a chest that feels full, low energy with a low fever that will not break. Peak is Three-Seed Decoction with bupleurum and virgate wormwood added, to open the three burners and let the damp drain from above, middle and below.
- Apricot kernel, cardamom and coix — the three seeds — lead; bupleurum and yin chen hao extend the formula for the liver and gallbladder.
- Whole herbs, ground and sieved for even brewing, then UV-sterilised before packing.
- Pattern. Damp-heat lodged in the qi level, obstructing the three burners.
