The Chinese answer to the ice pack. Herbal Ice is San Huang San — "three yellow powder" — a cooling classic built for acute trauma and just as good on any red, angry, irritated skin. Where ice shuts circulation down, this calms the heat and leaves the blood moving, which is what the tissue underneath actually needs.
- The three yellows. Huang Qin, Huang Bai and Da Huang, the traditional trio for heat, redness and inflammation.
- Blood movers alongside. Hong Hua and Pu Gong Ying keep circulation open while the cooling herbs work.
- Two things in the base. Organic unrefined sesame oil and organic beeswax. Nothing else.
