补阳还五汤 加减 · Bu Yang Huan Wu Tang, modified · Herbal tea, 30 bags
A tea built around Wang Qingren's formula for the aftermath of stroke and for circulation that has thinned with age — heavy astragalus to drive the qi, a small chorus of blood-moving herbs to carry it into the fine vessels of the brain and limbs. Gastrodia and uncaria are added to settle internal wind; honeysuckle and forsythia to clear the hidden heat that keeps the nerves inflamed.
- Uses only qing qiao, the green summer-harvested forsythia, with up to ten times the forsythiaside of the autumn fruit.
- Whole herbs, ground and sieved for even brewing, then UV-sterilised before packing.
- Pattern. Qi deficiency with blood stasis; internal wind with lingering heat.
